The purpose of the innumerable rules of the Vedas is two-fold: that we always remember God, and that we never forget Him. The most emphasized and repeated teaching in the Bhagavad Geeta is the same: to always think of Shree Krishna, and never forget Him.

Whenever you practice devotion to God, you should first understand that the mind must be attached to God. Worldly work can be performed even without the attachment of the mind, and people of the world will accept that work as genuine work. However, God cannot be fooled, He does not accept the external formalities if the mind is not involved. Resolve to yourself that from today onwards, you will involve the mind in devotional practice. Then you will see how far you will reach within even one week’s time.

तुम एक बात सोचो क्या संसारी जीव ऐसा है कि महापुरुष उसकी ओर देखे ? जो श्यामा श्याम को देखता है वो तुमको देखे ?
संसार में जो देखते हैं लोग अच्छे कपड़े हैं , ये सामान है , ये दुकान है , और वहीं पर एक बहुत बड़ा पाखाने का ढेर लगा दिया जाये तो कोई देखेगा उसकी ओर ?
अगर द्रष्टि भी पड़ जायेगी तो तुरंत अबाउट टर्न हो जायेगा !
जो उसी प्रकार भगवान् या महापुरुष हमारी ओर देखें ! आश्चर्य है , क्यों देखें ? नित्य श्यामा श्याम के असीम आनन्द में विभोर रहने वाला हम कूड़ा कबाड़ा जीवों की ओर देखे - ये कृपा के सिवा और क्या है ? हम देखने लायक हैं ? फिर हमसे बात भी कर ले तो इससे बड़ी कृपा क्या हो सकती है !

#MIND_IS_GOOGLE:

Interestingly, our mind can be compared with any search engine on internet. You ask one query to Google & it will display so many possible answers. You select the answer which suits you the best. Likewise, you show one image to your mind and it will display many more similar images; you desire anything once & it will desire many more times. You fulfill one desire and your mind will produce many more desires before you. And the vicious circle starts in the mind, pressing us hard to keep on satisfying one desire after the other, with no end in sight. It is very similar to the anxiety that we face when we have many possible answers available on Google and we keep clicking one after the other & land up on different pages, drifting away from the main point of search. We keep on satisfying one desire after the other and in the process we forget the main purpose for which we had come in this human form.
Our mind has to work like a search engine by its nature. It has both type of thoughts (worldly & divine) flowing through it. A true seeker has to select between the two and mend his mind accordingly in such a way that the mind continues to work but in a way that is helpful to him in his journey within. The grace of almighty is present always to help selecting right type of thoughts when we surrender unto Him completely.

तत्वज्ञान की सबसे पहली सीढ़ी है इस बात का चिंतन करना "मैं नित्य चेतन आत्मा हूँ, शरीर नहीं हूँ" । आपने अपने को देह मान लिया है। बस यहीं से सारी गड़बड़ शुरू होती
है। जैसे गणित में यदि पहले कदम पे ही गलती हो जाये तो फिर आगे गलती होती ही जाती है। इसी प्रकार स्वयं को शरीर मान लेने से हम गलत दिशा में चलते जाते हैं।
