अंत मति सोई गति गोविन्द राधे |
याते मन नित हरि गुरु में लगा दे ||

It is the indisputable doctrine of all the Vedas and Shastras that at the time of death, whatever the mind meditates on man attains that very destination. There are only four possible destinations, three of which are in the area of Maya – Satvik, Rajsi and Tamsi (the material modes of goodness, passion and ignorance respectively). The fourth area is divine - the area of God and saints, which is beyond Maya. During the time of death, our mind could wander among these four areas only. Lord Krishna instructs Arjun:

A Jeev could attain Me if he remembers Me during the time of his death.
